ITALIAN BBQ ON THE ROOFTOP - 28th

Walter Kern is the owner of a company that supplies Italian and other
European food items in Hong Kong.
As you can tell be the name, Walter Kern is no Italian, but he certainly
is in spirit, and is keen to introduce us to the Italian style of a languid and
leisurely Saturday evening BBQ on his rooftop in
Walter is suggesting that since it is a Saturday the event should start
early at around 6-6.30pm, so we still have some daylight for the “aperitivo”.
This will be followed by a relaxing BBQ with no particular time table, but
Walter suggests doing this Italian style as follows:
6pm PLUS
Just roll up when you can and have a few pre-drinks
6.30 - 7.30 pm The
classic “Aperitivo “ -
Italian whites wines, Bellini, Campari, fresh fruit
juice, small bites.. little selections of interesting , tasty morsels
7.30-onwards
Dinner with an antipasto table “la Tavola”
- all from the middle of the table
* Small pasta dishes, risotto
* Slow cooked meats/stews with polenta and pappardelle
* All
served with wonderful breads from
* Gastro Primo’s famous pastas and pesto’s
* Italian cheese tray selection
* Gelato, pannacotta with berry compotes,
possibly some top Panettone with espressos
* A small selection of white and red wines from
Walter advises that are plenty
of car parks in his road, but wisely suggests that, as we all like to enjoy his
food and wine, think carefully about coming by
car.
